Technology Integration PD

NOTE: All of these resources were developed for the Tuesday Tech PD session in November, but all still apply.

OVERVIEW: The format for our Technology PD on November 25 emerged from our efforts to make sure that teachers willleave the sessions immediately able to utilize their experiences at these sessions to improve their classroom practice.  Teachers should plan to bring existing lessons and/or emerging plans to every session to form the basis of their work.

iPad 101

This webpage starts with a link to the user manual for the iPad, which is very handy. Screen Casting and Classroom Flipping

ScreenCasting is a fun, and easy way to share your screen with others. ScreenCasting is different from using projectors however. When using a program like QuickTime, you can also record your screen. So you can share videos of your screen, or upload them to youtube. Read more…

Information Literacy and Google Advanced Searching

 Book Reports 2.0

This link brings you to a very long booklet that teaches the basics of iMovie, and the more complicated things as well. Page 34 would probably be the best place to start because it focuses on making movie trailers, which is good for a book project. Also, chapters 1&2 of the booklet are the most important because they focus on the fundamentals and how to make trailers. Read more…
